국회의원은 본연의 의무에 책임 있게 처신하라.

한국 의료용 대마 합법화 운동본부 환자, 환자가족들은 생존을 위해 ‘마약류 관리에 관한 법률 일부개정법률안’을 발의시켰다.

1970년 정부의 대마 단속이 시작된 이래 국회는 ‘대마관리법’을 만들어 대마의 의료적 사용을 금지시켰다.

미국, 캐나다, 일본, 중국 등 다른 나라들이 임상연구를 통해 대마의 의료적 사용을 합법화시켰음에도 불구하고 한국은 임상연구까지 막아 놓아 관련 자료가 하나 없는 사태에 벌어진 것 또한 국회의 책임이다.

11월 15일, 운동본부 환자, 환자가족들은 48년만에 대마의 의료적 사용을 다시 국가가 인정하는 역사적 순간을 함께하기 위해 국회에 모였으나 본회의 자체가 무산되는 황당한 사태를 목격하였다.

여, 야는 정쟁을 멈추고 민생법안 처리에 나서라.

Statement

Members of the National Assembly should be responsible for their obligation.

Korea Medical Cannabis Organization’s patient and their families initiated “Amendment bill of law about drug management” for their survival.

Since the government crackdown on cannabis in 1970, the National Assembly has created the ‘Cannabis Control Law’ and banned medical use of cannabis.

Although the US, Canada, Japan, and China have legalized the medical use of cannabis, it is also the responsibility of the National Assembly that there has been no relevant data since Korea blocked clinical studies of medical use of cannabis.

On November 15th, the Korea Medical Cannabis Organization’s patients and their families gathered at the National Assembly to share the historical moment recognized by the government for medical use of cannabis in 48 years, but they witnessed the miscarry of the plenary.

The National Assembly need to stop fighting and process the public welfare bill.

They need to listen to patient and their families painful voices.
